I kept trying to do it all, just to realize that writing things down actually helps me be present.
I feel like for a lot of us, scrolling is the easiest way to distract ourselves and get information and entertainment, pretty much everything the modern age asks from us to just “exist.”

But when we let it into our lives, the guest decides to stay longer and take our time as its own. So, even though it is still something I’m trying to change, I decided to go back to basics. And yes, I know I’m still online but in a way it feels like a “slower” version of what’s currently happening.
Instead of creating content that is barely absorbed, discussed and enjoyed, I’m allowing myself to think about what I want to write, to pause, and to think about the intention behind it instead of producing more of what is out there.
Then why is it still being put out there online?
Well, this is a goal of mine since I was in my 20s: be a blogger/YouTuber, and that’s exactly what I’m allowing myself to do. I know Substack is big and all but I find some closeness and nostalgia in blogs.
Plus, I can explain myself better when I’m writing things down rather than talking…that’s why YouTube exists to see me and hear me yap.
